Gurkha Shorts
Khaki "Z-Twill"
Made famous by the Nepalese soldiers who fought for the British Indian Army between 1857 and 1947, their classic Gurkha shorts were later adopted by the regular British Army for use in North Africa, Syria, Singapore and Burma. At the end of WWII, they became the uniform of choice among professional hunters in Africa because they were uniquely suited for strenuous service in the oppressive heat of British East Africa. Our latest version of the original Gurkha shorts are sewn from durable 9.6 oz. tightly woven cotton "Z-twill" that features a flatter, smoother surface than other twills. With the classic Gurhka-style, comfortable dual-strap adjustable waistband that replaces the constricting leather belt, multiple front pleats and barrel-cut legs that allow for improved air flow and complete freedom of movement, these are the ultimate garment for tropical, warm-weather climates.
